The Blacksmith’s Bravery
By Susan Page Davis
As the year draws to a close, I’m saying goodbye to the town of Fergus, Idaho. Fergus lives only in my head and between the pages of my Ladies’ Shooting Club books. The third and final book in the series, The Blacksmith’s Bravery, released in November. Already I’m immersed in writing a new series called Prairie Dreams. But the residents…er, characters…of Fergus are real to me and will always be friends and soul mates.
This book features Vashti Edwards, a former saloon girl, and Griffin Bane, the town blacksmith who has taken on management of the local stagecoach line. Both are making huge changes in their lives. They’ve never had much to do with each other until this story opens. Vashti crashes into Griffin’s world when she asks him to hire her as a stagecoach driver.
Vashti needs a better income than Bitsy is able to give her at the Spur & Saddle. She’s also a new believer and struggles with some past and present life issues. Griffin suddenly finds himself expected to fill the role of father to a teenaged boy while he keeps a floundering business afloat.
Two strong-willed people.
Throw in the rugged Idaho mountain setting, a few bandits, and the always prepared Ladies’ Shooting Club, and we’re off for adventure.
I’m offering two books as a giveaway here. You can win a copy of The Blacksmith’s Bravery. Or, if you haven’t read the other books in the series, choose The Sheriff’s Surrender or The Gunsmith’s Gallantry. Each book can be read separately, but you won’t want to miss any of the goings-on in Fergus.
Come see me at my Website, where I hold a drawing at the end of each month: www.susanpagedavis.com. I hope Christmas is wonderful in your corner of the world!
I would like to read it, it sounds really good.
